THE BARBARIC DESTRUCTION OF A PROOF GOLD BULLION COINS SET
In this video I will break open a 1988 Lion of Luzern Gold Bullion Proof Set from Switzerland. It was sealed 22 years ago! Many viewers will ask:"Why would anyone do something like this?" Great question! The answer is simple: I only need the one ounce coin for my collection. The other coins will be sold/traded. Let us stop treating gold bullion coins as if they were numismatic treasure. They are minted for one purpose only: to weigh a certain amount of gold. This also concerns graded bullion coins. DON'T GRADE THEM, THEY ARE BULLION! Thanks for sharing this unique moment with me!

haha liberate the coins… nice video!
Great video. I like what you said in the info box. Wake up people. Gold is gold is gold.
Nice video, like the point about ‘ weight being weight’..
Thanks for sharing.
It started out as very painful. Glad I hung in there! —
I have thought about ‘liberating’ a few myself. Just not the same sitting in a plastic MS70 case. Kind of hard to display also. I guess I have to decide how attached I will be to them. liberating does kill the numismatic resale of an item. I mean, yeah, shes a beauty, but trust me she is a MS70. (maybe keep all the coresponding plastic numi gradings in a shoebox?) Sure hope they overturn that damm $600 reporting on bullion in the US starting Jan 2012. Great vid. thumbs up, like always.
@stealinator Sell the numies to someone who cares at a hefty premium (which MS70 can command), and buy more regular bullion. =^[.]^=
I’m always gratified to see that you wear your cotton gloves, but I was wincing in terror as I watched you cut toward yourself! =0[.]o=
that massive knife made me LOL!!!
Oh man what a copout ..I wanted to see you hammer them into one big lump….lol
You should have all kinds.. mostly bullion but once silver and gold hits the moon, numismatic coins can also shoot to the roof. Just keep them as is if you have them like that.
wow, look at that Lion! it is now free to roam!!
Definitely a unique video.
Great vid!!!
haha, your classic man.. taking bullion ownership to a whole new level
Hey is that an Omega watch you’re wearing? which model? I collect some of the older 70s omega chronos (althogh I have traded some for silver now, lol)
would love to see you buy a 10 kilo perth mint silver coin, now that would be a mean vid!!
@curry76 would love to see you buy a 10 kilo perth mint silver coin, now that would be a mean vid!!
If your selling the smaller coins,,, I’d be interested, how much??
Set the G Free!
