I ordered mine an hour after it went on sale, still waiting.Very sexy coin! I feel sorry for people who fall for that ‘First Strike” crap.

  2. kneedesk says:

  3. plumprandy says:

Yeah, how the hell does that happen?? Your not the first to say they didnt order first day but still got them before prior orders! Imagine how much sexier it would be if it was stuck “Proof”?!

  4. kneedesk says:

Wow ! Proof ? That would be great ! Let’s see if U.S. Mint will struck it in proof……I will order it if they do.

    A nice coin. :)
How much you have to pay premium over spot price on this type of coin and the size of 1 oz?

  6. kneedesk says:

U.S.Mint have a schedule fo prices.Check on more information on upper corner plus shipping. The size is a bit bigger than a quarter but thicker, about thickness of 3 dimes layer together and still weigh 1 oz.

  7. sw640 says:

WOW I see why they call it the worlds most beautiful coin. really incredible you cant go wrong with this one, great investment and something incredible to pass down to your kids. thanks for posting.

  8. kneedesk says:

It’s really nice to own this historical issue in coin collecting. Hope you got yours already? Have a great & safe day.

  9. kgmurray says:

I’m jealous because the US mint is not taking mail orders. Damn it.

  10. plumprandy says:

So much for having a “Rare” coin,U.S. Mint now will allow 25 per household….great.

  11. kneedesk says:

I know what you mean…Maybe due to its public demand. Glad and happy just to own one. Hope you have yours..Price is up from the Mint to date….

  12. kensho3 says:

I know the edge on this coin is awesome but these would make about the nicest coin-jewelry piece imaginable if you get a nice bezel for it.

  13. Filmaker25 says:

That’s a replica , right. Real Gold and all but It’s a replica of the REAL st Gaudens.

  14. kneedesk says:

Yes, it’s a new issue of High Relief St Gaudens 1907 which cost over 2 million on Red book 2007 amy be it cost more now but little bit smaller and thicker than the original. There were so many regular issues you can buy of old St Gaudens from 1907-1933.

  15. TheMagicalTaylor says:

    how much does it cost???

  16. Ianmcgregorable says:

    @TheMagicalTaylor

You can’t buy this from the Mint after December 31, 2009.

You can find them on EBay though for around $1700.

  17. Ianmcgregorable says:

Apparently, there a bill passed the House two years ago to create a Palladium version of this coin (harder than steel and about half the price of gold).

And although the bill sailed thru the House, it disappeared in the Senate.

I guess they’re too busy passing new taxes to be bothered with us.

  18. kneedesk says:

Maybe you’re right, also the recession, since original St.Gauden’s High relief was done in gold.Need to see the sales first, then do the Palladium afterward. I bought 1 oz. Canadian Palladium just to own one. Gold is still favorite & the right metal for doing it I guess….

  19. ykltc says:

The coin dealer has one of these on sale and is asking $2000. Is it worth the premium?

  20. kneedesk says:

@ykltc If that’s the market price to date, why not? One coin per family household when it was sold to the public. I was buying my friends coin and he wont sell it to me.U.S. Fiat money has fluctuated anyway…the choice is yours.
