The abiotic oil theory is ridiculous because energy can’t be created out of nothing. Every known oil well has a characteristic bell-shaped production profile. There was never ever an oil well replenished after it had reached its production phase. Besides that today’s civilization uses huge amounts of oil every day. It took millions of years to create this oil in the earth’s crust. We’re just a mayfly if you compare the whole lifespan of mankind with those geologic events which created petroleum.
Abiotic vs Peak, Warming vs cooling. These arguments are distractions and irrelevant when the people in control of commodity prices, control of taxation (inflation) through the control of money creation are standing at the tap.

So the only decision and hope before us as individuals is to either to subscribe to faith in a collective consciousness of human beings evolving ala socialism(heaven on earth), or to subscribe to faith in a supreme being ala heaven in the spiritual sense. or subscribe to defeatism and maintain your sense of apathy and greed for as long as your consciousness allows.
Peak oil is a farce. Oil isn’t a fossil fuel. Russians have found the deeper they drill the more oil they have found. They also discovered long abandoned wells have refilled. Google “The Energy Non-Crisis”
Methane is universal, even below the ocean, and is a source of energy. Methane & oil are natural by-products of our earth. C’mon guys, the ‘fossil fuel’ idea is an out-dated theory being used by our politicians to scare us into thinking we must get off oil. The Russians have known since the 50′s about abiotic oil and are using it to their advantage, while we fret about ‘saving the earth’ & suffer roller coaster fuel prices. Obama has connections to the carbon credit industry, same as Gore.
My dear Russian friend, you should know by now that Glen Beck is a disinformation agent, you should know this as the KGB used to have a disinformation department. The figures that Beck is using in his graph are BOGUS. First, the money supply WAS expanded right after the Federal Reserve was established, it was expanded greatly during the wars and the bailout money today hasn’t been monetized yet (meaning that it hasn’t been put into circulation yet, hence the deflation we have now).
Right on, friend. I happen to be Eastern European and do remember that the Russians have printed an article once in one of their newspapers/magazines that they have technology that drills down 8 miles and they can hit oil anywhere in the world. Russia now produces as much oil, if not more, than Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

I studied organic and inorganic chemistry so I think I have quite a good understanding how matter works. The abiotic oil theory (aot) is of course very comfortable for those who like to live in a world without depleting resources. To make the aot even more comfortable, supporters assert that oil would be replenished just as fast as we suck it up. This is ideal-typical wishful thinking which is not congruent with reality and could originate from Pippi Longstocking. Depleted oil wells are dead.

Not bad. But there is no such thing as abiotic oil. Only PO deniers place hope in that. Also the Kubler-Ross scale has five stages. Not so sure about that 6th stage called Hope. I believe it would be better to define such a sixth stage as action and not hope.
